IBM Student Orientation Program
The IBM Student Orientation Program took place on January 19, 2024, at JSPM University's Chanakya Seminar Hall, aimed at first and second-year B. Tech students. With 359 first-year and 207 second-year attendees, distinguished speakers from IBM shared insights on technology trends, industry skills, and collaborative opportunities, fostering a positive learning environment.
MOU with ARAI Pune
JSPM University Pune recently signed an MOU with ARAI Pune, India's premier automotive R&D organization established in 1966 through collaboration between the automotive industry and the Government. Affiliated with the Ministry of Heavy Industries, ARAI offers courses, industry-focused labs, and placement opportunities for students pursuing careers in automotive engineering.
Resource Person at International Conference
Dr. Tanaji Nandgude from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences participated as an evaluator for scientific e-poster presentations at the 2nd PharMAIR International Conference, organized by Shri D.D. Vispute College of Pharmacy in Panvel, Mumbai. The theme was "Pharma360: Emerging Trends and Future Perspectives in Pharmaceuticals," with JSPM University as the knowledge partner.
Student Induction Program
JSPM University kicked off the new academic year with a grand Student Induction Program in Pune on August 17, 2023. The event warmly welcomed new students and established an inspiring tone for their educational journey, providing essential information and fostering a sense of community among incoming learners at the university.
Creative Canvas
The Faculty of Education and Humanities (FEU) successfully organized Creative Canvas – 'Mosaic of Imagination' to mark JSPM University’s 2nd Foundation Day. Students from various faculties enthusiastically participated, showcasing their artistic creativity through cutouts, vibrant colors, and a montage of memories. The event, held on February 21, 2025, provided a platform for students to express their vision of JSPM University on an A3 sheet using diverse artistic mediums.
The occasion was graced by the presence of Dean of the FEU, Mrs. Arpita Kaswa. The competition witnessed a fantastic display of talent, fostering creativity and a sense of belonging among participants. Creative Canvas truly captured the vibrant spirit of JSPM University, making the celebration a memorable one.
Voice of JSPM
The Literati Cell of the Department of English, FEU at JSPM University successfully hosted “Voice of JSPM”, a dynamic public speaking competition on 13th February 2025. Students showcased their eloquence and confidence, delivered compelling speeches on thought-provoking topics. The event identified promising anchors for future university events, making it an engaging and impactful experience for all participants.

Heritage Walk SPPU and visit to Pataleshwar Caves
The Department of History at JSPM University's School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences organized a Heritage Walk on September 14, 2024, led by faculty members Dr. Rohan Jadhav, Dr. Chetana Paigonde, Mr. Mrunal Patnekar, and Ms. Arusha Gawari. The event took first-year B.A. students to historical sites, including D.V. Potdar Sankul at Savitribai Phule Pune University and the ancient Pataleshwar Caves. Guided by research students from SPPU's History Department, the walk provided insights into Pune's rich heritage. Participants explored the architecture of the Governor's former residence and visited onsite museums, gaining an immersive learning experience. At Pataleshwar Caves, students appreciated ancient cave architecture, enhancing their understanding of cultural artifacts and career paths in heritage management. This enriching experience offered students valuable historical insights and broadened their perspectives on Pune’s heritage.
Principal Training Program
On October 26, 2024, the Faculty of Education and Humanities, School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at JSPM University, hosted a Principal Training Program. Organized by the Center for Continuing and Lifelong Education, the event focused on enhancing academic leadership, governance, and management skills for school principals. Dr. Vijayanta Bhurale coordinated the event, while Dr. Ajit R. Thete, a respected academician, served as the resource person. The program aimed to deepen participants' understanding of academic leadership, introduce the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, and emphasize Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and strategic planning. With over 30 principals and coordinators in attendance, the sessions were interactive and insightful, culminating in strengthened leadership capabilities and a clearer vision for implementing institutional improvements aligned with NEP 2020 goals. This successful event highlighted the faculty's commitment to ongoing professional development in educational leadership.
