JSPM University participated in the IBM ICE Code Crunch 2024 Hackathon, supported by GLA University, aimed at enhancing student skills for better placement opportunities. The competitive event was held on February 22 and March 15-16, 2024, attracting 89 participating teams from various institutions. Through rigorous evaluation rounds, 30 teams successfully advanced to the final competition stage. The hackathon provided students with practical coding experience and exposure to industry-standard challenges. Winning teams received cash prizes, recognizing their innovation and technological potential. This participation demonstrates JSPM University's commitment to providing students with competitive platforms to showcase their technical skills, foster creativity, and improve their employability in the technology sector through hands-on learning experiences.

MOU with ARAI Pune
JSPM University Pune recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with ARAI Pune, India's premier automotive research and development organization established in 1966 through collaboration between the automotive industry and the Government of India. ARAI, affiliated with the Ministry of Heavy Industries, brings extensive expertise in automotive technology and innovation to this partnership. The agreement enables ARAI to offer specialized courses, provide access to industry-focused laboratories, and create placement opportunities for students pursuing careers in automotive engineering. This strategic collaboration enhances JSPM University's automotive engineering programs by providing students with cutting-edge research facilities and industry exposure. Free Legal Aid Camp
JSPM University organized a Free Legal Aid Camp at Markal Village, Taluka Khed, District Pune on April 10th, 2025, promoting legal literacy, access to justice, and awareness of government welfare schemes and individual rights. The initiative witnessed active participation from 26 students and 5 faculty members, providing direct legal support and education to local residents. The camp successfully addressed real-life legal issues while creating awareness about important legal protections, helping rural citizens access justice affordably and efficiently. This grassroots outreach program demonstrated effective collaboration between students, faculty, local leadership, and the legal fraternity, making a meaningful difference in rural communities through legal empowerment.
Visit to District & Session Court
LLB-I and BBA LLB-I students recently undertook an educational visit to the District & Session Court, gaining invaluable firsthand exposure to the judicial system. This immersive experience provided students with direct observation of legal proceedings, courtroom protocols, and professional legal practice in action.
The visit offered comprehensive insights into courtroom etiquette, judicial procedures, and the practical application of legal principles studied in academic settings. Students witnessed real-world legal scenarios, enhancing their understanding of the justice system's functioning. The ceremony was graced by distinguished Chief Guest Padma Shri & Arjuna Awardee Shri. Murlikant Petkar, whose inspiring journey motivated attendees with his exemplary sporting legacy. Prof. B.B. Ahuja, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of JSPM University Pune, presided over the occasion, adding grandeur to the celebration. World Theatre Day - Powerful Street Play on Women Trafficking
On World Theatre Day, March 27th, 2025, JSPM University students delivered a compelling street play addressing women trafficking, organized by the Literati Cell of the Department of English, School of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Education and Humanities. The impactful performance, structured in four acts, vividly portrayed the harsh realities and consequences of human trafficking.
The powerful production was performed twice on campus to maximize audience reach and awareness. The first performance took place at 10:15 am near B building, followed by the second at 3:15 pm in front of C building. This meaningful theatrical presentation effectively raised awareness about this critical social issue through compelling storytelling and dramatic expression.
