KEEPING THE CHILD ALIVE WITHIN YOU
BLOG 1: KEEPING THE CHILD ALIVE WITHIN YOU
We all are adults now, but we once went through the enjoyable, playful childhood. We all were children, and even now we also do have a playful child inside us. It's just our adulthood which suppresses our thoughts and enjoyment of all the cherished moments which we had in playful childhood. To me, childhood was the most beautiful phase of life, filled with endless memories. We cherish them, but we can't forget them in our life. They were the golden days of our life.
When we say “child,” it automatically triggers my mind and soul and keeps me thinking about how childish we were, how we behaved, how we enjoyed little things and became happy, how we were curious and much more. But as we grew up, we became a little serious and responsible due to some responsibilities and forgot to enjoy life and do the things that make us happy. Becoming an adult is not an easy thing, but it is important to keep a child alive within us even if we become adult. It helps in personal growth as well as keeps us younger. As the phrase goes, "Humour is medicine for the soul," keeping our humour helps in self-growth.
For me, one way I keep the child alive is by painting and playing outdoor games like badminton. These hobbies remind me of the carefree joy of childhood and help me stay curious and playful.
To keep the child alive within you, it is necessary to be curious. Curiosity keeps the mind young, and curiosity keeps us humble and open-minded. Children are full of curiosity they ask endless questions, often silly, but always driven by wonder. They keep asking. It shows that they always try to learn new things. Personally, I love reading storybooks and sketching cartoons—these activities keep my imagination alive and make me feel like a child again. There is a thought which says, "You don't stop laughing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop laughing," said by Michael Pritchard. If someone gives deep thought and really understood the real meaning of this thought, that person will truly keep the child alive within them.
Last but not least- It is the most important thing to keep a child alive by being curious. Enjoying the little things that make you happy and being playful...
