Faculty Achievements

The Faculty of Education and Humanities at JSPM University is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its esteemed members. These accomplishments reflect the faculty’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, professional development, and impactful research.

Dr. Yamini Upalkar, a distinguished faculty member, received the prestigious Best Paper Award at the Two-day National Conference on "Women’s Health and Well-Being," organized by the Department of Psychology, Central University of Haryana, on October 12-13, 2023. Her award-winning paper, "Prevalence and Co-relates of Post-partum Depression in India: A Literature Review-Based Study," highlights her significant contributions to understanding women’s mental health. This recognition underscores the faculty's dedication to addressing critical social issues through impactful research.
Dr. Jayashree Hazarika conducted insightful sessions on "Confidence Building in Young Girls" and "Art-Based Teaching in Languages & Social Sciences."
Mr. Tipusultan Inamdar delivered engaging lectures on Non-Violence Day, Indian Polity, and the Indian Constitution, promoting meaningful discussions on socio-political topics.
Ms. Arusha Gawari was invited as a Radio RJ at Infinity Community Radio 90.4 FM on 17 April 2024.
Ms. Tanvi Gosavi was invited as a Special Guest for the Legal Awareness Program organized by SMAYAN – Shadow of Tradition on 31 May 2024.
Dr. Sangharsh Gaikwad delivered an invited talk on “Big Tech, TNCs & Democracy – State versus Market Revisited” as part of PhD coursework at Anantrao Thopte College on 29 September, 30 September, 1 October, and 3 October 2025.
Dr. Reshma Sanadi from the English department completed a MOOC on SWAYAM in November 2025.
Dr. Rashmi Achmare was also invited as a resource person for PhD coursework in English on 26 December 2025 at Loknete Vyankatrao Hiray Arts, Science and Commerce College (Autonomous), Nashik.
Dr. Reshma M. Sanadi received the Faculty Excellence Award from JSPM University on 28 February 2026.
Dr. Jay Jivani from the English department received an International Fellowship Award on 2 March 2026 for the Lavender Languages Institute (LLI) Summer 2026 program, which fully covers the $350 program fee.
Dr. Rashmi Achmare received the Distinguished Woman Researcher in English Literature (International Level) award at the 11th Venus International Women Awards (VIWA 2026) held in Chennai, India on 7 March 2026.
Dr. Tipusultan Inamdar from the Political Science department was appointed as a Board of Studies (BoS) member at Modern College of Arts, Science and Commerce on 8 March 2026.
Dr. Rashmi Achmare also received the Women Literary Excellence Award 2026 (National Level) from The Indian Forum for Social Leaders and Achievers, Chennai on 8 March 2026.
Dr. Jay Jivani from the English department received an International Fellowship Award on 9 March 2026, with a fully funded bursary (£800) from the University of Oxford to participate online in the Digital Humanities Oxford Summer School (DHOxSS) 2026, scheduled from 24–28 August 2026.
Ms. Arpita Kaswa presented a paper titled “Emotional Intelligence in Dialogues” at the National Conference on “Communication in the Era of Digitalisation” held at Sir Parshurambhau College, Pune on 10–11 March 2026.
Dr. Rashmi Achmare from the English department was appointed as an Editorial Board Member of the International Journal of Interdisciplinary Research in Arts and Humanities on 17 March 2026, published by DV Publications, Perambalur, Tamil Nadu, India (ISSN Online: 2456–3145).
Mrs. Nanda Makhija was invited as a resource person for an international guest lecture on “Prospects of English Philology at an International Level: Opportunities and Career Choices for Uzbek Students” at Urganch University, Uzbekistan on 26 March 2026.
Dr. Rashmi Achmare was granted a UK patent (Patent No. 6438786) for an AI technology-based student learning and teaching device.
Dr. Reshma M. Sanadi has launched a SWAYAM course on Marathi Cinema at Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.
