Best Paper Award at National Conference
Dr. Yamini Upalkar, a distinguished faculty member, received the prestigious Best Paper Award at the Two-day National Conference on "Women’s Health and Well-Being," organized by the Department of Psychology, Central University of Haryana, on October 12-13, 2023. Her award-winning paper, "Prevalence and Co-relates of Post-partum Depression in India: A Literature Review-Based Study," highlights her significant contributions to understanding women’s mental health. This recognition underscores the faculty's dedication to addressing critical social issues through impactful research.
Resource Person Contributions
Faculty members have actively served as resource persons, sharing their expertise and insights. Dr. Charusheela Patil led a five-day FDP on “Industry Academia Interface for Institutional Development,” while Dr. Jayashree Hazarika conducted insightful sessions on "Confidence Building in Young Girls" and "Art-Based Teaching in Languages & Social Sciences." Similarly, Mr. Tipusultan Inamdar delivered engaging lectures on Non-Violence Day, Indian Polity, and the Indian Constitution, promoting meaningful discussions on socio-political topics.
Participation in Faculty Development Programs (FDPs)
The faculty actively engages in professional development programs to enhance their skills and knowledge. Notable participations include Dr. Nina Kadam’s involvement in the "Action Research for Language Teachers" FDP and Ms. Jarina Shaikh’s participation in "Research Methods for English Studies" and "Cyber Security: Advanced Concepts and Practices."
National and International Conferences
Faculty members have presented and participated in conferences of national and international repute. Dr. Archna Tanwar presented at Chandigarh University’s conference on "Contemporary Perspectives in English Language, Literature, and Cultural Studies," while others contributed to significant academic events, showcasing the department's vibrant intellectual environment.
