JSPM-BOSCH Joint Certification Center Inaugurated at JSPM University

 

JSPM University, Pune, inaugurated the JSPM-BOSCH Joint Certification Center (JCC) on 30th April 2026 in collaboration with Bosch India. The event began with a Saraswati Pujan, followed by the formal MoU exchange between JSPM University and Bosch India. Dignitaries including Dr. Ravi Joshi, Prof. B. B. Ahuja, and Mr. Rajmohan N. R. graced the occasion. The center aims to provide hands-on training in advanced automotive technologies such as powertrain systems, automotive electronics, diagnostics, EV technologies, and safety systems. This industry-academia initiative bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical skills, enhancing employability and preparing future-ready automotive engineers for evolving industry demands.

Millets-Based Cooking Competition at JSPM University

On 27 February 2026, during the 3rd Foundation Day celebration, JSPM University organized a Millets-Based Cooking Competition under the theme “Smart Grains for a Healthy Future.” Twenty-five students and four faculty members participated. Dishes were judged on taste, nutrition, creativity, presentation, and hygiene. Winners included Payal Salke (1st place, students) and Ravina Malshikare (1st place, staff). The event successfully promoted millets as sustainable, nutritious grains for daily diets.

Beverage Production at Coca-Cola HCCB

 

On 6 March 2026, the Department of Food Technology organized an industrial visit to Coca-Cola India’s HCCB plant in Pirangut, Pune. A total of 34 students from B.Tech. Food Technology participated. The visit covered beverage production, automation, quality management, and world-class safety protocols. Students interacted with HR and quality teams, learning about brands like Thums Up, Maaza, and Sprite. The event highlighted career opportunities, skill requirements, and sustainability initiatives, successfully bridging academia and industry.

Rice Processing Exposure at PP Foods


On 28 November 2025, JSPM University organized an industrial visit to PP Foods Pvt. Ltd., Ranjangaon MIDC, Pune. Twenty-seven B.Tech. Food Technology students participated. The visit focused on industrial-scale rice milling, polishing, grading, and packaging operations. Students learned about automated machinery, quality assurance systems (ISO/HACCP), and industrial hygiene practices. An interactive Q&A session with plant managers provided career insights. The visit effectively connected theoretical knowledge with real-world food processing challenges.

Food Manufacturing Insights at ITC Ltd.


On 20 February 2026, JSPM University organized an industrial visit to ITC Ltd., Food Division, Ranjangaon, Pune. A total of 28 B.Tech. Food Technology students participated. The visit included a plant tour, corporate presentation, and interaction with HR and production experts. Students observed snack processing, packaging technologies, automation (PLC/SCADA), and quality control systems based on ISO 22000 and HACCP. The initiative successfully provided practical exposure to large-scale food manufacturing, safety protocols, and career opportunities in the FMCG sector.

Dairy Processing Exposure at Katraj

 

On 29 January 2025, the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Sciences organized an industrial visit to Katraj Dairy, Pune. First and second-year B.Tech. Food Technology and Mechatronics students participated. The visit aimed to provide hands-on exposure to industrial-scale milk processing, including pasteurization, homogenization, and packaging. Students also learned about products like ghee, paneer, amrakhand, and lassi, along with quality control procedures. The event successfully bridged classroom concepts with real-world dairy operations.

JSPM University Organizes Industrial Visit to KK Nag Pvt. Ltd.

JSPM University Pune has organized an industrial visit to KK Nag Pvt. Ltd. for students of Mechanical Engineering, Robotics and AI, and Mechatronics Engineering on 25/03/2026. The visit aims to provide practical exposure to industrial operations, advanced manufacturing systems, automation technologies, and industrial safety practices. Through such industry-oriented initiatives, JSPM University Pune continues to strengthen experiential learning and bridge the gap between academic concepts and real-world industrial applications. Exploring Sustainable Industrial Cleaning Technologies

The industrial visit to Ecoclean Machines Pvt. Ltd. in Bhosari, Pune, was meticulously organized to bridge classroom learning with industrial practices in component cleaning and surface treatment. The tour began with a comprehensive safety briefing and company overview, followed by a detailed factory walkthrough. Students were exposed to a diverse range of cleaning systems, including solvent-based, water-based, and ultrasonic cleaning machines, all integrated with modern automation and robotic handling. Live demonstrations illustrated how these systems effectively remove contaminants from precision components used in automotive, aerospace, medical technology, and precision engineering sectors. The students observed how Ecoclean emphasizes eco-friendly and sustainable manufacturing practices, reducing environmental impact while maintaining high efficiency. Interactive sessions with industry professionals provided valuable insights into real-world challenges, quality standards, and emerging career opportunities. Overall, the visit enriched students' practical knowledge, reinforced theoretical concepts, and motivated them to explore innovative, sustainable engineering solutions in mechanical manufacturing.

Immersion in Industrial Robotics and Smart Automation

The industrial visit to iTech Robotics and Automation Pvt. Ltd. in Chakan, Pune, provided students with an immersive exposure to state-of-the-art robotic applications in real industrial settings. The tour commenced with a detailed demonstration of robotic spot-welding automation, where students observed the flawless coordination of robotic welders achieving high precision and speed. This was followed by insights into complete manufacturing assembly line automation, illustrating how robots are seamlessly integrated to optimize productivity and minimize human error. Additionally, the company showcased a SCARA robot designed for high-speed material handling, along with an educational robot featuring a human-machine interface and speech recognition system. Students actively engaged in discussions with experienced engineers, gaining practical knowledge about industry challenges, emerging trends, and career pathways in robotics. The visit successfully transformed theoretical classroom concepts into tangible, real-world understanding, inspiring innovation and deepening appreciation for automation technologies across automotive and manufacturing sectors.

One day visit of School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Sciences students to Pune Metro, Pune Maharashtra

The visit took place on 29th November 2024 at 10:30 AM. A group of 29 students from First Year (FY) and Second Year (SY) B.Tech students specializing in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, and AI participated in this industrial visit. The students were accompanied by Dr. Bhalchandra Vibhute, the faculty in charge. 

Industry-Academia Synergy: JSPM University Leadership Visits Phillips Machine Tools

On October 16, 2024, a distinguished delegation from JSPM University Pune, led by Vice Chancellor Prof. B. B. Ahuja, visited Phillips Machine Tools Pvt. Ltd. The visit focused on exploring cutting-edge additive manufacturing technologies, specifically the mechanics and industrial applications of Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) and Stereolithography (SLA) 3D printers.

The discussions highlighted the advanced research potential of composite filament printing and aimed to strengthen the Industry-Institute collaboration. This partnership seeks to bridge the gap between academic research and industrial requirements, fostering innovation in smart manufacturing and material science.

Technical Exploration: SMMS Students Visit ARAI Academy, Chakan

On Tuesday, November 12, 2024, students from the School of Mechanical and Manufacturing Sciences (SMMS) at JSPM University Pune conducted an industrial visit to the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) in Chakan. The delegation included students pursuing B.Tech degrees in Robotics & AI, Mechatronics, and Mechanical Engineering, accompanied by a team of faculty members and technical staff.

The visit focused on two primary objectives: gaining a comprehensive understanding of certification and standardization protocols within the Indian automotive sector and exploring the state-of-the-art laboratories at the ARAI Academy. This experience provided students with critical insights into the rigorous testing environments and regulatory frameworks that drive innovation and safety in modern automotive engineering.

 

Scientific Discovery: F.Y. B.Tech Students Visit Science Park Pimpri Chinchwad

On Sunday, December 1, 2024, First-Year B.Tech students (Divisions E, F, G, and H) from JSPM University Pune participated in an immersive one-day industrial visit to the Science Park in Pimpri Chinchwad. Coordinated by Mrs. Prachi Nerkar and accompanied by a dedicated team of faculty members, the visit provided students with a hands-on environment to explore practical applications of scientific principles.

The excursion was designed to supplement classroom learning by engaging students with interactive exhibits and live demonstrations across various galleries. By spending the day at one of the region's premier scientific hubs, students gained a deeper appreciation for the role of innovation and technology in solving real-world problems, fostering a spirit of inquiry essential for their engineering careers.
