Dr. Kulkarni Invited as Speaker at Prestigious Vocational Training

Dr. Krishna Kulkarni, Professor of Practice at JSPM University’s School of Forensic Sciences, was recently invited as a distinguished speaker at the Three Days Vocational Training Programme titled “In Pursuit of Truth: Forensic Science Techniques” held from 10th to 12th March 2025. The event was organized by the Department of Forensic Science, Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (BAMU), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, in collaboration with the PMUSHA-MERU Centre for Digital Transformation.

Dr. Kulkarni delivered the inaugural session on the topic “Forensic Science: Unveiling the Truth Behind the Evidence”, offering deep insights into the real-world application of forensic principles in criminal investigations and legal processes. His session set the tone for the workshop, which covered key topics such as advanced spectroscopic techniques, crime scene management, forensic law, and insurance fraud investigations.

The programme featured sessions by leading experts in the field and attracted participants from academic, legal, and forensic science communities. Dr. Kulkarni’s vast expertise and prior experience as Director, Directorate of Forensic Science Laboratory, Mumbai, added exceptional value to the event.

Prof. Kokare Represents JSPM University Pune at National Conference

JSPM University Pune's School of Forensic Sciences proudly recognizes the contribution of Shri Rajendra Kokare, Professor of Practice, who was invited as a Resource Person at the prestigious National Conference on “Medico-Legal Challenges in Modern Healthcare: Balancing Rights, Ethics, and Responsibilities in India” organized by TMV's Lokmanya Tilak Law College, Pune on 26th April 2025.

Held at the Auditorium of Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, the conference served as a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue among legal experts, medical professionals, and academicians. Shri Kokare addressed the gathering with an insightful presentation on the complexities of medico-legal issues in the Indian healthcare context, offering critical perspectives on ethics, rights, and legal responsibilities.

His participation added immense value to the event, reflecting the university’s dedication to academic excellence, thought leadership, and meaningful engagement with contemporary societal issues.

The School of Forensic Sciences, JSPM University, Pune, proudly announces the participation of Dr. Krishna Kulkarni, Professor of Practice, in the training programme on “Crime Against Women” (Batch 1), organized by the Centre for Police Research (CPR), Pune, from 23rd to 27th June 2025. On Day 1, dated 23rd June 2025, Dr. Kulkarni delivered an expert lecture from 14:30 to 16:00 hrs, focusing on the role of forensic science in sexual assault cases, the introduction and importance of DNA evidence, and a demonstration of the Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kit (SAECK). The session highlighted practical insights and the critical role of forensic evidence in sexual assault investigations, reinforcing the university’s ongoing commitment to national capacity building through forensic science education and expert collaboration with law enforcement agencies.

The School of Forensic Sciences, JSPM University, Pune, is pleased to share the contribution of Shri. Kokare, Professor of Practice, in the training programme on “Crime Against Women” (Batch 1) organized by the Centre for Police Research (CPR), Pune, from 23rd to 27th June 2025. On Day 1 (23rd June 2025), Shri. Kokare conducted an interactive and practical session in the evening slot, focusing on the collection, handling, labelling, and packing of biological and physical evidence from the crime scene using the Sexual Assault Evidence Collection Kit (SAECK). The session included a group exercise and seasonal crime scene planning, providing participants with hands-on exposure to forensic protocols. His practical insights as a former Assistant Director, Regional Forensic Science Laboratory (RFSL), Pune, enriched the participants' understanding of evidence management in sensitive cases, underscoring JSPM University’s mission to bridge academic knowledge with real-world investigative training.
