OVERVIEW

The Faculty of Business Management and Commerce is part of JSPM University Pune that offers Postgraduate & Undergraduate Programmes in Management as well as Commerce education.
We strive to make active and dedicated attempts to infuse a global perspective into management/commerce education. The curriculum is more contextual and experiential learning oriented focusing on imparting sustainable and value-based education.
The Faculty of Business Management and Commerce intends to offer educational programmes through its School of Business Management and School of Commerce, which have wider social implications as well as integrate techno managerial excellence keeping-up with the current industrial needs and requirements.

Awards & Recognitions

Dr. Uzma A. Shaikh, Assistant Professor, School of Commerce, JSPM University, received the Outstanding Education Award for Excellence in Service to Society on 30 June 2025.
Dr. Karuna Gole, Associate Professor, was honored with the Excellence in Academic Administration Award at MTC Global’s 15th Annual World Education Summit on 13 September 2025.
Dr. Anjali Upadhye, Professor & Director (RIIIL), School of Business Management, JSPM University, received the Best Academic Researcher Award at the 26th Edition of International Academic Achievements and Awards on 7 October 2025.
Dr. Vineeta Agrawal, Associate Professor, School of Business Management, JSPM University, secured Top Rank in the NPTEL course under NBA Accreditation (IISc) in May 2025.

Invited Talks, Guest Lectures & Academic Engagements

Dr. Anjali Upadhye was invited as a Resource Person for the CME Programme on Research Methodology organized by MNR University, Sikandarabad in collaboration with AYUSH, Government of India on 22 August 2025.
Dr. Anjali Upadhye served as a Social Scientist in the Ethical Committee and as a Resource Person in Biostatistics at Sonajirao Kshirsagar Homeopathy Medical College, Beed on 14 August 2025.
Dr. Uzma A. Shaikh, Assistant Professor, School of Commerce, JSPM University, was invited as Chief Guest at H.V. Desai Hospital, Undri for a session with medical students on 21 September 2025.
Dr. Uzma A. Shaikh delivered a talk as a Speaker on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti at Babasaheb Ambedkar Hall on 2 October 2025.
Dr. Anjali Upadhye delivered multiple keynote sessions on Research Methodology, Questionnaire Design, Sample Size Calculation, and Statistical Inference at national-level workshops conducted across institutions in Maharashtra during 2026.
Mr. Roshan Borde, Assistant Professor, School of Commerce, JSPM University, conducted a guest session on Research Methodology at S.M. Joshi College, Hadapsar, Pune on 21 February 2026.
Dr. Vineeta Agrawal delivered a guest session on “Role of Faculty Leadership in Academic Transformation” at a National Conference hosted by Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, Pune in March 2026.

Academic Roles & Appointments

Dr. Anjali Upadhye was appointed as a Board of Studies Member at MGACHRC, Wardha on 24 September 2025.
Dr. Vineeta Agrawal served as Session Chair at the LNMIIT Graduate Research Conclave 2026 and INSPIRE 2026 International Conference on Sustainable Practices, Innovation, and Responsible Entrepreneurship.

Certifications & Professional Development

Dr. Vineeta Agrawal earned a Gold Certificate in the NPTEL SWAYAM course on Financial Analytics (July–December session).

Extra-Curricular & Social Engagement

Dr. Uzma A. Shaikh, Assistant Professor, School of Commerce, JSPM University, actively participated in the “Run for India” Marathon organized for Indian Defense Services Officers and completed a 3 km race on 10 August 2025.
